It is really hot today.

Went to office early in the morning, as usual, but have no passion to work.

Yet, need to prepare something for Dimas to work on.

Back home for lunch, I got a card in my mailbox.

Poststamp: Mannheim, card with Heidelberg picture. From the handwriting, it must be Wolfgang.

Then in the afternoon, went to get my train ticket.

tomorrow will go for Jakarta, have appointment with Andrea, now...I hope there's no more changes.

Got a haircut, I just sat and said, "I need new hairstyle"...knip knip...there...

new hair cut, I love it, short and simple...help me to stay away from blow-dryer.

Muntok - Old Lady with Trace of Beauty and Charm part 2

Walk the City, then you will get the soul… ...and you may find more hidden beneath... Filled with otak-otak and es kacang, we continued our walk around Old Muntok. Few houses from Petak 15, there is a weird signboard : " Lorong Babi" . We laugh at the funny words in the beginning and follow the direction it shows. We found a newly built kiosk in a dead-end narrow alley. In there, 3 men are selling pork. They were smiling and told us to come in. I asked them if this place is new and they approve. "We are moved here when they (the government) move the old market to the new one across the river" I could see the new market from their stall…across the river. All of you are not joining the others to the new market? "No, this is the location for us" I didn't ask further. It is clear to me. yeah!! we've signed and faxed our 'shake-hand agreement' with KDa as PechaKucha Night organizer in Bandung. currently building up list of presenters for our first volume; to give you brief image of who will be our presenter, here are some sneak preview: Product designer and architect cum senior member of Bikers Brotherhood in Bandung; Architects as lecturer; architect who runs a magazine; socialists architects; Bandung Public Furniture community; Batik Fraktal; Bandung Rapper; Indi Movie Maker; Graphic designers; and many more... it's gonna be a fun night... rolling presentation of 20slides x 20 seconds... A 400 seconds of fame!!

(Supposed to be) Last day with JICA Mamminasata

this was taken just before we left. Some local staff had left, so here was I, only lady in the party. on my right is the team leader, left is the deputy team leader. My only aim was to finish my leftover tasks from Mr. Koizumi and Mr. Watanabe’s Decree (well it’s Presidential Decree Draft, not his decree..but whatever) I have to transfer some of tasks to other people, since today is my last day. I did that. Eventually, Ibu Itha asked me to accompany Mr. Koizumi (our team leader which I always afraid of) to ASKINDO (Cocoa Association of Indonesia). This was my first time to be with him and in fact my first time to have conversation with him after 10 months working with this study team. I am really grateful that I had that chance. He is an extraordinary humble person with rich experiences in his professional life.
