too many for a title

how many weeks is it already?
i even have no idea how to start this blog.
well, here.
last 2,5 weeks I came to Makassar with intention just to accompany my granny during parents' trip to China.
whoever knows, somebody called my Dad's office, looking for 'her daughter' [she didn't even know my name!] that studied urbanism before.
I called her back, and learned that it is for a job in JICA Makassar, for a project of Mamminasata metropolitan area.
Thus, nextday I went for interview, bla here bla there, I started to work the very next day.
...
until now
...
I wrote this blog during lunchbreak at office.
thus, here are my days with Japanese conversation [but sphinxku, it's not me...but them!] all around. I wish I can speak more then cottomatte dakusai, or ohayo gozaimas...Sphinxku, any tips?

New working culture. no Teng Go.

helemaal anders met nederlandse werktijd

Got a postcard from Wolfgang, he was in Sicily...
got his email 2 days ago...he was ill.

Get well soon!

and,
today is Arun's wedding, which once I planned to attend.
too bad price is not right,
but I wish you dear the best marriage ever...
love and understanding for the rest of your life together

そっか。。ちょっと大変だね~
I started my japanese at home with my roommates from college.
By asking the meaning of words or sentences that sounded funny to me.
After a while I got used to it and I could follow the conversation.
An advantage to this is you'd be able to catch the local accent as well. ^^
Anyway, 頑張ってください!!

Muntok - Old Lady with Trace of Beauty and Charm part 2

Walk the City, then you will get the soul… ...and you may find more hidden beneath... Filled with otak-otak and es kacang, we continued our walk around Old Muntok. Few houses from Petak 15, there is a weird signboard : " Lorong Babi" . We laugh at the funny words in the beginning and follow the direction it shows. We found a newly built kiosk in a dead-end narrow alley. In there, 3 men are selling pork. They were smiling and told us to come in. I asked them if this place is new and they approve. "We are moved here when they (the government) move the old market to the new one across the river" I could see the new market from their stall…across the river. All of you are not joining the others to the new market? "No, this is the location for us" I didn't ask further. It is clear to me. Johannes Widodo, our Keynote Speaker, coined "Meeting Pot" for Muntok. According to him, differences for centuries manage to live side by side in...

(Supposed to be) Last day with JICA Mamminasata

this was taken just before we left. Some local staff had left, so here was I, only lady in the party. on my right is the team leader, left is the deputy team leader. My only aim was to finish my leftover tasks from Mr. Koizumi and Mr. Watanabe’s Decree (well it’s Presidential Decree Draft, not his decree..but whatever) I have to transfer some of tasks to other people, since today is my last day. I did that. Eventually, Ibu Itha asked me to accompany Mr. Koizumi (our team leader which I always afraid of) to ASKINDO (Cocoa Association of Indonesia). This was my first time to be with him and in fact my first time to have conversation with him after 10 months working with this study team. I am really grateful that I had that chance. He is an extraordinary humble person with rich experiences in his professional life. Just like the story of his 30 years old leather suitcase that he purchased in Rome and still accompany him everywhere he goes around the globe. He might looks old with his grey...
